Privacy Policy

Last updated

This Privacy Policy explains how Deliverail ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects personal information when you use our website and parcel delivery service in India.

This document applies to your use of Deliverail ("we", "us") — the operator of this service. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. If anything is unclear, contact support@deliverail.in and we will help.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, phone number, email address, sender and receiver addresses, pincodes and shipment details. We also collect usage and device information automatically, including pages viewed and approximate location derived from your IP address.

For GST invoicing, we may collect business name and GSTIN where you provide them.

2. How we use information

We use your information to provide quotes, process bookings and payments, arrange pickup, rail line-haul and delivery, issue GST invoices, provide tracking and notifications, offer customer support, prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

3. Notifications and communications

With your consent and as needed to perform the service, we send transactional updates about your shipments by email, SMS and WhatsApp — for example pickup confirmations, rail departure and delivery alerts. You can manage marketing preferences from your account settings; service messages are required to deliver your parcel.

4. Sharing your information

We share information with delivery partners, Indian Railways parcel handling, payment processors, communication providers and analytics vendors strictly to operate the service. We do not sell your personal information.

Receiver details are shared only as necessary to complete delivery, and we mask sensitive contact details in the interface where possible.

5. Data retention

We retain shipment and invoice records for as long as required to provide the service and to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations under Indian law. We delete or anonymise data when it is no longer required.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent for non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@deliverail.in.

8. Grievance officer

In line with Indian information-technology rules, you may contact our Grievance Officer at grievance@deliverail.in with any complaint about how your information is handled. We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and resolve them within the statutory timeframe.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through the service where appropriate.
